POUND, VA. SEPTEMBER 4, 2023

Madge Brumitt Boggs, 91 entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, September 3, 2023. She went peacefully into the arms of Jesus with her loving family by her side.
She was of the Freewill Baptist Faith.
She was born in Jenkins, Kentucky to Ervin and Ora Brumitt and was the youngest of four daughters, Doris, Winonna and Nina, all whom have preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her son, Steve Boggs, whom she has mourned the loss for the last four years.
She was married to Shelcy Boggs for 63 years before he went to his heavenly home. Surviving are their children, Martha Jett and husband Jack, and Kent Boggs.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Her family always came first and meant more to her than any treasures of this world.
Madge enjoyed selling Avon for many years to her family and friends, and earned many levels of achievements during that time. She was also a very proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Norton Community Hospital where she served a term as the auxiliary President.
She leaves behind 2 children, 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, family and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Madge Boggs will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Elder Stacy Potter officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. Graveside committal services and burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in the Addington Family Cemetery in Pound, VA. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession. Pallbearers will be Kent Boggs, Brad Jett, Cooper Jett, Anthony Sturgill, Brady Sturgill, Cole Sturgill, Garth Nicely and Stetson Nicely.
