Luther "Luke" Justice, 80, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

Born in Clintwood, VA, Luke led a life marked by dedication and kindness.

Luke proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War for three years. His bravery was recognized with a Purple Heart and he was commended as a sharpshooter. After his military service, he continued to demonstrate precision and focus in all aspects of his life.

Back home, Luke was known for his optimistic outlook and kindness. He found joy in simple pleasures like walking his dogs, diving into a good book, and solving crossword puzzles, activities that reflected his thoughtful and introspective nature.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Judy, Mary, and Louise, and his brothers Gene and Rodger, as well as his parents Nona and Francis Justice.

Luke leaves behind his loving wife, Ana; his son, Michael; his daughter, Krissy; his brother, Elmer; and many grandchildren who will miss his gentle guidance and support.

The family will gather to honor and remember Luke's life at Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, August 9, 2024. Military Rites will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.  Sturgill Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time. Luke's legacy of kindness and bravery will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
