Lucille (Lucy) Hilton Trent passed away peacefully on Saturday October 22, 2022, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Wise VA.  She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County, a member of The New Maple Grove Baptist Church, Coeburn VA, and a past member of Clintwood Baptist Church, Clintwood Va.  She was retired with 30 years' service to the Dickenson County School Board. Her talents were many. She was an extremely accomplished seamstress who loved to quilt, crochet, and cook. She was a proud member of The Red Hat Society, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, community volunteer and friend who loved to entertain. She enjoyed her porch picnics and Hilton Family Reunions. She was preceded in death by her parents: James R. and Annie Hilton, Husband: Victor Trent, 2 brothers: Clyde and Hassel Hilton, 4 sisters: Imogene Adkins, Anna Knight, Jamie McCoy, and Betty Houston, Daughter-in-law: Kim Smith, Son-in-law: Dana Stansberry, and Grandson: Jared Stansberry. She is survived by 1 brother: Donald (Carolyn) Hilton, 1 son: Billy Smith, 2 daughters: Ketha Sanders, Kim (Tim) Meade, Grandchildren: Lori (Jonathan) Jackson, Ben (Megan) Sanders, Great Grandchildren: Jonas, Beckett, and Connor Jackson, Numerous: nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday October 27 ^th from 12:00 - 1:00 PM with funeral service following at Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6 ^th Street NW Coeburn, VA 24230 with Pastor Stacy Vanover officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, VA. The family would like to thank Mt. View Nursing Home and Heritage Hall for the wonderful care given. Our hearts are so full of all the love and care shown from our friends and close family throughout the past years of mommy's illness. We thank you and ask God's Blessings to each and everyone.
