Lester Harold Collier, 78, passed away on Thursday August 11, 2022 at Norton Community Hospital.

He was a retired coal miner, a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. An avid hunter, outdoorsman and a NASCAR Racing fan.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Ann Collier; grandson, Dustin Blake Collier; parents, Lee and Dixie Collier; brothers, Ronnie Collier, Jake Collier and Elmer Collier.

Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Sharon Collier; three daughters, Melinda Cindric and husband Chris, Virginia Collier Browning and husband John and Cammie Collier; five grandchildren, Lashay Hall and husband Matthew, Austin Beverly and wife Amber, Zoe Cindric, Lexie Adkins and Landrie Adkins; three great-grandchildren, Piper Beverly, Jayson Hall and Maddox Hall; two brothers, Jerry Collier and wife Pat and Virgil Collier; three sisters, Alice Gala and husband Al, Della Amburgey and Thomasine Carr and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Lester Collier will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Monday, August 15, 2022 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel, Wise, VA with Pastor Jerry Collier officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. Monday at Sturgill Funeral Home Wise, VA. Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the Collier Family Cemetery, Wise, VA, burial will follow. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession.
