WISE, VA. DECEMBER 26, 2023

Larry Lyle Greene, 83, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, after an extended illness.
He was a resident of Heritage Hall Nursing Home and a lifetime resident of Wise, VA. He and his wife, Iva, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on September 2nd.
He was a retired coal truck driver having worked most recently with Pressley Trucking.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Mabel Greene; father, Roy Hayden Greene; daughter, Teresa Lynn Greene and brother, Herbert Kyle Greene.
He is survived by his loving wife Iva of the home; Sons, Steve Greene and wife Connie of Trinty, NC, Doug Greene of Wise and Greg Greene of West Liberty, KY;
Grandchildren, Cari Greene, Jessica (Eric) Collins, Derrick (Hunter) Greene, Kayla (Cameron) Brooks, Zach Fletcher, Nicole Greene and Ariel Steele.; Great-grandchildren Sabrina & William Holbrook, Ivy & Levi Greene, Judah & Josiah (due in March) Brooks and Caty & Emily Collins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Larry Greene will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Larry Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Round Top Cemetery in the Duncan Gap Section of Wise, VA. The Family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M.
