Kevin Wayne Ormes, 59 of Wise, VA passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

He was a lifelong resident of Wise and the owner of the well-known Buddy's Appliance. He enjoyed drag racing, but most of all he enjoyed his family, which he had tremendous love for.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Barbara Ormes; sister Lori Ormes; and Grandfather Buddy Couch.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Ormes; two daughters, Sidney Freeman and husband Colby, Savanah Ormes and Kyle Powers; a nephew, Mark Chapman; and three grandchildren; Austin Freeman, Caralina and Reiley Boggs who love their PopPop very much, brother-in-law, Ben Franklin Jr. and wife, Kathy, nephews, Ben, Seth, and Chase, two great nephews, Amir and Carter.
