Kathy Sue Robbins Weippert, 53, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Milwaukie, Oregon on August 24, 2025.  Kathy was a graduate of Coeburn High School and Virginia Polytechnic University.  She was a loving wife and was devoted to her cats, Mojo and Tucker; and her bird Petey.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Christopher Robbins.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bob Weippert of Milwaukie, OR; her parents, Robert Robbins, Jr. and Shirley Gareffa Robbins of Coeburn, VA; her brother and his wife, Robert Robbins III and Allison Robbins of Coeburn, VA; her sister in law, Bernetta Robbins of Coeburn, VA; nephew, Charlie Robbins; and nieces, London Robbins and Maggie Robbins; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive family and friends on September 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. At the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Virginia 24230.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Brandon White officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton, VA.

Kathy would have wanted, instead of flowers, donations to be made to the Humane Society or a similar animal welfare organization, in honor of her love for animals.
