NORTON, VA.                                    NOVEMBER 11, 2022

Judy M. Hunsucker, 56, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, November 10, 2022.

Judy was a devout Christian and embodied the definition of serving others. Throughout her life, her compassionate and encouraging spirit helped many around her persevere when faced with struggles.  She was beloved and cherished by everyone who knew her.  Words cannot express what a truly incredible wife, mother, and Gigi she was.  She had a remarkably special bond with her grandson, Elijah, who will always have her as his guardian angel.  She was devoted to her family and selflessly gave to all of those around her.

Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Ola Maggard.

Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Michael Hunsucker; daughter, Rachel Hunsucker; son and daughter-in-law, Jacob and Courtney Hunsucker; grandson, Elijah Hunsucker; sister, Gwen Maggard; mother-in-law, Phyllis Hunsucker and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, November 14, 2022 at Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA to celebrate Judy's life.  Entombment will be held privately.
