NORTON, VA.                      DECEMBER 2, 2022

Cynthia Juanita Buchanan, 83, a caring sister, friend and aunt entered the gates of heaven on Friday, December 2, 2022.

Juanita enjoyed her time playing cards, coloring and crocheting. In her younger years she enjoyed running fish camps in Florida and tending to her fruit trees. Juanita was a joy to be around and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Buchanan; mother and father, Blaine and Mayme Woody as well as three nephews and a brother-in-law.

Surviving are her sisters, Shirley Jones of Norton, VA and Rommia Olsen and husband Steve of Manchester, IN; brother, Kenny Ray Woody and wife Sonja of LaPlace, LA; special friend, Thelma Gardner; two special cousins, Barbara Collins of Hopewell, VA and Hobert Brewer and wife Margaret of Danville, VA and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Juanita Buchanan will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel Wise, VA with Pastor Worley Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton, VA. Family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Sturgill Funeral Home Wise, VA.
