NORTON, VA.                                     OCTOBER 10, 2021

Joyce Hubbard, 79, received her reward on Friday, October 8th 2021 at Norton Community Hospital.

Joyce was owner of Wolff Tanning Salon in Norton for the better part of 30 years and a caregiver for MEOC. She was a devout born again Christian for the past 45 years. Joyce was born in Richmond VA and made Norton her home in 1975. She was a genuine person that helped countless people with her generosity and was always willing to go above and beyond to help anyone that needed it. She had a way with people to make them feel that they were extremely important and that they mattered.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Buddy; father, Floyd Burnette; mother, Grace Layfield and husband William Layfield and son, William Martin.

Left to cherish her memories are Sons, Wayne Martin, Mike Martin and wife Evelyna and Shane Hubbard and wife Megan; Grandchildren Jessica Martin, Julie Martin, Averi Ellen Hubbard, Trey Stone and Jarrod Stone; Great-Grandchildren, Donovan Martin and Lucas; siblings, brother, Buddy Burnette and sister, Nancy Burnette; and countless friends.

Funeral services for Joyce Hubbard will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Rick Branham and Pastor Owen Powers Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton, VA. The Family will receive friends from 12 noon till time of services at 2:00 P.M.
