Joyce Carolyn Helton, 81, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026, in Norton Community Hospital Norton, Virginia. She was a former CNA for St. Mary’s Home Health.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Corine Mullins and her sister, Brenda Stallard. She attended the Tacoma Holiness Church and Pine Camp Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving is her father, Hubert Mullins of Wise, Virginia; daughter, Sonya (Tony) Farmer of Coeburn, Virginia; two granddaughters, Megan (Nick) Bagnall of Norton, Virginia and Tiffany (Matthew) Jacobs of Castlewood, Virginia; four great grandchildren, Aidan Hill, Caleb Hill, Ava Hill, and Marley Bagnall; a foster son, James Ray Maine Jr., several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her caregiver, Stephanie Lundy, a special friend, Jo Ann Hobbs.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 2, 2026, 12 P.M. to 1 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Va. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel with Rev.
