Johnny "Wayne" Moore, 70 years old passed away at Norton Community Hospital on Thursday, June 3, 2021.

Wayne worked as a Loaderman for Betty B. Coal Company and Falcon Coal before retiring.

Wayne was preceded in death by his 2 sons, Gary Moore, and Randy
Moore; his father, Wythe Moore Sr; 2 brothers, Wythe Moore, Jr and Michael
Moore; and 3 sisters, Darlene Nixon, Pauline Ratcliff, and Brenda Kay Salyers.

Surviving is his loving wife of 34 years, Betty Moore; his mother, Edna James; 3 daughters, Jennifer (Randall Meade), Sherry Moore, and Angie (Derrick Hampton); 4 sisters, Barbara (Raymond Gibson), Linda (Willie Ratliff), Trish James, Karen Meade; 6 grandchildren, Kiera Harding, Brandon Meade (Katie Wyres), Sabrina (Corey McReynolds), Alex Hampton, Marissa Meade, and Nick Collins; 4 great-grandchildren, Ezra Harding, Gracie Harding, Chesney Meade, and Zander Meade.

Wayne enjoyed spending time outdoors working on vehicles and riding his
four-wheeler with his great grandchildren. He worked hard to make sure
his family was taken care of. He loved to pick on and loved to pull pranks on his family.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 6, 2021, 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6 ^th Street NW Coeburn. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 1 P.M. with Pastor Willie Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, VA.
