John Anderson "Andy" Williams, 75, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at his home.

Andy was born in Coeburn, VA, A son of S.B. Williams and Erma Stallard Williams and He was a heavy equipment mechanic for several years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Williams; a niece, Beverly Garrett and husband Roger Garrett and a nephew, Kenneth Williams.

Surviving are his Loving wife of 51 years, Ruby Williams; son, Brian Williams and wife Michelle of Appalachia, VA; daughter, Bergetta Ward of Coeburn, VA; son, Eric Williams and wife April of Bluefield, WV; step-daughter, Connie; son, Johnny and daughter, Melissa from a previous marriage; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for John Williams will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Coeburn, VA with Pastor Richard "Chico" Castle officiating. The Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA. Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Greenwood Acres Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession.
