John Harrison Stout, 80, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Filmore & Vesta Yates Stout, a son, John McKinley Stout, and two brothers, Riley Stout, and Billy Stout.

Surviving is his wife, Marlene Stout of 60 years; one son, Kevin Stout, two grandsons, Johnathan Stout, and Evan Stout; a granddaughter, Kelsey Stout, and a great granddaughter, Baylee Stout; three brothers, Robert Stout, Stuart Stout, and Jack Stout; five sisters, Bonnie Stanley, Martha Mullins, Alice Stanley, Janice Jenkins, and Marie Phipps, several nieces and nephews, a host of friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 21, 2023, 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6 ^th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Glen Hurd officiating. Burial will follow in the Stout Cemetery Flattop Sandy Ridge.
