Jeri Sue Baker, 80, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, at her daughter's home in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was a School Bus Driver for the Wise County School System.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Rodney Baker; her father, Junior Holbrook; her mother, Pherba Hale, and her stepfather, Clovis Hale.

Surviving is her daughter, Paige (Shawn) Puckett of Johnson City, Tennessee; her son, Larry (Sue) Baker of Mooresburg, Tennessee; grandsons, Cole (Tori) Rutherford of Bluff City, Tennessee; Zachary (Taylor) Baker of Coeburn, Virginia; Grant (Hannah) Rutherford of Jonesville, Virginia; Bailey (Allie) Baker of Wise, Virginia; great grandchildren, Blake, Hudson, Carter, Owen, Lane, Abel, Hazeleigh, Remington, Haidyn, Charlee, and Elowyn. Special cousins Nikki Adkins of Coeburn, Virginia and Gloria Osborne of Kingsport, Tennessee. A special Thank you to Amedysis Hospice  of Johnson City, Tennessee for wonderful care and kindness. Thank you to everyone for prayers, calls, texts that were helpful during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 26, 2026, 12 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn. Funeral Services will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mark Stallard and Elder Stacy Potter officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery Lions Fork Coeburn, Virginia.
