Jennie Baker Hash, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Heritage Hall in Wise, VA.

She was a member of Indian Creek Freewill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and was an Active member of the Ladies Auxiliary, serving as a President for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gary E. Baker and Carles Hash; son, Gary Ray Baker; parents, Scott and Martha Porter; brothers, Ray Porter and Bud Porter and sisters, Clara Gilliam, Shirley Collins and Mary Jean Mullins.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Diana and David Freeman; grandson, David Baker; great-grandson, Gage Baker; brother and sister-in-law, Carroll W. and Patti Porter of High Point, NC.

She will also be missed by her family, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ at Indian Creek FWB Church.

Funeral Services for Jennie Baker Hash will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 26, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Rev. Joel Cantrell and Rev. Rusty Mullins officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Sturgill Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Wise Cemetery.
