NORTON, VA.                      OCTOBER 3, 2022

Lou Jean Hash, 65, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law and mother-in-law was called by her Lord, Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Norton Community Hospital surrounded by her family after a very brief bout with cancer.

Jean has been a care giver for family and friends most of her life always putting others before herself. She worked in the office at Westmoreland Coal early in life. Later working in retail for a number of years before retiring from Heritage Hall Health Care.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Ray Hash; father and mother, Dewey and Inez Sturgill; sister, Jenny Lee Sturgill and father-in-law, Ray Hash.

Survivors include her son, Jarrod Ray Hash and wife Celeste; granddaughter, Marshea Absher; great-granddaughter (and the light of her life) Kinsley Holding; mother-in-law, Juanita Hash; brother and sister-in-law, Gary Hash and wife Brenda; 5 sisters, Janice Wells and husband Doyle, twin sister, Joyce Bevins and husband Chris, Mazy Reeves, Carol Bentley and husband Jonah, Jacky Bryant and husband Kenneth; 5 brothers, Junius Sturgill and wife Pat, Larry Sturgill and wife Linda, Danny Sturgill and wife Darlene, Ricky Sturgill, Joseph Sturgill and wife Becky; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her loss.

Funeral services for Jean Hash will conducted at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel Wise, VA with Pastor Gary Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Sturgill Funeral Home Wise, VA. Burial will be held at a later date.
