Janice Fay Wells, 73, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2022 after a brief stay at Johnson City Medical Center, She was a retired dietician from Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Wise.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother Dewey & Inez Sturgill; sisters, Jenny Lee Sturgill, Lou Jean Hash, and great granddaughter, Harley Kelly.

She is survived by her husband, Doyle Wells; son, Kelly (Teresa) Meade; daughters, Joy Lee Meade and Stacy (Kelly) Sturgill; grandchildren, Justin Kelly, Jennifer Kelly, JP Paige, Alyssa Dotson, Lynn & Steven Hornsby; great grandchildren, Caiden and Addy; brothers, Junius (Pat) Sturgill; Larry (Linda) Sturgill, Danny (Darlene) Sturgill; Ricky Sturgill; Joseph (Becky) Sturgill; sisters, Joyce (Chris) Bevins; Mazy Reeves; Jacky (Kenneth) Bryant; Caroline (Jonah) Bentley; several nieces and nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 30, 2022 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 1621 Norton Road SW Wise, VA. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Gary Hill officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted 11 A.M. Thursday, December 1, 2022 in the Addington-Hensley Cemetery Rocky Fork section of Wise. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin, JP, Andrew, Larry, Hayden, Justin, and Lynn.
