NORTON, VA.                              DECEMBER 17, 2024

Janice Faye Potter, aged 74, formerly from Jenkins, KY, passed away from this life to her Heavenly home on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Janice was born to Homer and Betty Johnson in Pikeville, KY.

In addition to her parents and maternal grandmother, Jane Robinson, whom she cherished, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, William Glen Potter.

Janice was a lifelong believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and has only gone away with a friend.

She is survived by her eldest son, Danny Lee (Beverly), daughter Kimberly Jane (Greg), and youngest son, Steven Glen (Debra). Her grandchildren include Jordan (Gracia), Aaron (Sarah), Adam, Elijah, Ian, and Isaac, along with great-grandchildren Zoey and Levi. She also leaves behind her brother, David (Janet), and sister, Tabatha (Billy), all of whom she loved deeply.

Funeral services for Janice Potter will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Gary Hill Officiating. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession. Burial will be in the Potter Cemetery Burdine KY.
