Jamie Lynn Hyden, 48, of Coeburn, VA passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021, at his home.

Jamie was born in Norton, VA to parents Joyce and Ricky Hyden.

He was a graduate of Pound High School in the class of 1990. He worked as an assistant plumber for Bill Lester at G&M Plumbing INC.

Jamie was a free-spirited man who enjoyed spending his free time fishing, cooking, caring for his dog, Zeus, and socializing with friends and family. Those close to Jamie knew that his hard work ethic was the foundation of his character. He was loved by many and has left an everlasting impact on all that knew him.

Jamie was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Joyce and Steven Boggs; grandparents, Roy Calvin and Ruth Shupe Terry, and Lynn Hyden and Cathleen Hyden.

Survivors include his fiancé, TC Rose of Wise, VA; his father and step-mother, Rick Hyden and Pam Gardner of Wise, VA; his daughter, Mallory Mullis of Norton, VA; siblings including, Jennifer Hyden of Pound, VA, Travis Crabtree and wife Tracie of Richlands, VA, and Megan Nicely and husband Garth of Wise, VA; loving aunt, Joan Terry and uncle Casey Mullins of Conway, SC; several nieces and nephews; and a host of special friends and loved ones including, Bill Lester.

Funeral services for Jamie Hyden will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Allen Culbertson "Gunsmoke" officiating. Burial will follow in the Wise Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. till time of services at 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. We will be following state mandated social distancing and occupancy. Masks will be required and will not be supplied by the funeral home or the family.
