James Ruffus Miller, 75, passed away Monday, November, 14, 2022 at Norton Community Hospital, Norton, VA.

He attended Cranes Nest Bible Church in Coeburn, VA and was a retired Coal Miner.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Miller; parents, Robert and Lauraine Calton Miller; brother, Glen Miller and a sister, Betty Adkins.

Surviving are his daughter, Shirley Clay; son, Kenneth Miller and wife, Alecia; grandchildren, David Clay, Kayla Disney and husband Dustin, Jay Miller, McKenzie Miller and Logan Franklin; 3 great-grandchildren, Blake Disney, Scott Disney and Farleigh Clay; sisters, Orange Lee Cox, Pat Sloan and husband Howard, Loretta Boggs and husband Doug and Roxie Cox and husband Billy; sister-in-law, Gail Miller; brothers, Daril Miller and wife Debbie, Rex Miller and wife Arlene and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for James Miller will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 18, 2022 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel, Wise, VA with the Evangelist Brandon White officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Family Cemetery in Wise, VA. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
