It is with great sorrow that we announce the recent passing of James Elmo "Little Elmo" Stallard on Monday, February 12, 2024.

James in his youth was mischievous and playful. As an adolescent, he loved motor cross racing and greatly enjoyed the competitiveness and comradery of the sport. His partiality for motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles continued throughout his adult life, but he spent more time cleaning than riding! He so disliked dirty vehicles and consequently was a phenomenal detailer of vehicles taking great pride in his work. James was fond of tent camping and camp cooking, always believing himself to be the better cook. James also loved to card play (Rook) and music (80's rock) and had great affection for animals (favored German Sheppard).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Creed Elmo and Shirley Jean Stallard.

Surviving are his sisters, Billie Fleming (Mike) and Angela Short (Bobby); nephew, Shane Fleming and his life-long friend, David Barnette.

Special appreciation to Norton Community Hospital Emergent and ICU Teams – bedside care was great respect and empathy to his needs. Special appreciation also to John Barnes, Larry Stallard and Sheila Dingus for their caring and comfort.

All services for James Stallard will be private.
