James Robert Bise, 66, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the Norton Community Hospital Norton, Va. He was an avid fisherman and attended the Coeburn High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Voyd Arvil Bise and Anna Mae Mays Bise.

Survivors are a son Derek James Bise, two sisters, Shirley Woodward, and Barbara Boone both of Coeburn, Va., a granddaughter, Izabellah Bryant, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 3, 2024, 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Va. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Jason Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, Va.
