Jackie Stewart Tickles, 89, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 16, 2024. He was born and raised in Wise County, in Banner VA.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Florence M. Tickles. Parents, Charlie Henry Tickles and Lilly Davenport Tickles; Son, Jackie Dane Tickles; Brothers, Charlie Jr., Glenn, James, and Earl Tickles; Sisters, Mildred Tickles Ramey, Nell Tickles Ramey, and Polly Tickles Hamm.

He is survived by his sons, Tony (Rhonda) Tickles, TN and Randy (Lana) Tickles, VA. Stepsons, Wesley (Mary) Stout, FL and James (Alma) Stout, NC.

Also survived by; 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Jack was a dedicated and loving husband. He loved and served the Lord for over 49 years and took care of his wife, Florence, for a number of years after she became ill. He worked for Pittston Coal Company for over 20 years. He moved to Florida and resided with Wesley and Mary after the passing of his wife until his death.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 23, 2024, 12 pm to 1 pm at the Sturgill Funeral Home, 310 6th Street NW, Coeburn. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Roger Barker officiating. A burial will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia.
