Jackie Ray Goff, 74, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at his home after a recent diagnosis of cancer.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and worshipped with the congregation in Wise.

Jackie served in the US Navy from 1969 – 1973 on the USS Jonas Ingram.  He worked many years as the personal lines manager at Southwest Insurance Agency before his retirement in 2012.

Jackie was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing and hiking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Lafonne and Renee Lujean Goff.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 55 years, Priscilla Goff; one son, Chris Goff (Katy); one daughter, Renee Anderson (Stephen); One granddaughter, Bryn Goff; two grandsons, Zain Anderson and Quinn Anderson; one great-grandson, Emmett Anderson; Siblings, Gary Goff (Missy), Daniel Goff (Joy), Sheila Abbott (Clay), and Amy Goff (Linda); Special uncle, Walton Meade; aunts Jessica Hillman, Joyce Stallard and Flo Goff Ratliff; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services for Jackie Goff will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Minister Jim Deason officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the local Food Bank of Wise County, P.O. Box 2977 Wise, VA 24293.
