Jack C. Barker, 84, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at Norton Community Hospital.

He will be sadly missed by family and friends. He was a member of Hopkins Chapel Freewill Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and clerk/treasurer and he was a former service manager for Ferrell Gas.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet; son, Michael; parents, William (Bill) and Lillie Barker; brothers, Don and Bob; sisters, Mildred and Peggy.

Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Leota; a son, Scott and wife Michelle; granddaughters, Kristin and husband Taylor, DevonyAyn and Henley; grandsons, Jacob (Bo) and wife Amanda, Brandon, Ryan and wife Brianne, Caden, Nathan and Phoenix; brothers, Jim and wife Sharon and Dallas; special nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Jack C. Barker will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Worley Smith, Roger Roberts and Pastor Mike Hunsucker officiating. Burial will follow in the Addington-Hensley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Sturgill Funeral Home Wise, VA.
