Henderson Ballard Powers, 83, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Lonesome Pine Hospital Big Stone Gap, Virginia.

He was a US Army Veteran, a retired Miner, an avid hunter, and fisherman; and attended the Pine Camp Church of God of Prophecy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Elizabeth Powers, and his wife Buretta Faye Powers.

Surviving is his daughter, Michelle (Mark) McClellan of St. Paul, VA., two sons, Mark Powers of Knoxville, TN. and Shane Powers of Coeburn, VA. two grandchildren, Noelle (Zach) Church, Chantry (Chessie)  Powers, three great grandchildren, Parker Church, Dean Church, and Jameson Church.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 22, 2024, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Curt Bond officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted 11 A.M. Friday, February 23, 2024, at Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, VA.
