Gregory Ralph Carter, 55, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed on Monday, September 22, 2025.

Born and raised in Wise, Virginia, Greg graduated from J.J. Kelly High School in 1988 and later went on to study Environmental Science at Virginia Tech graduating in 1995. He spent his career as a Project Manager in technology.

To anyone privileged and blessed to have known him, he will forever be remembered as irreplaceably big-hearted, incredibly quick-witted, and able to love deeply with matchless intentionality.

Greg was a loving and devoted husband, son, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, friend, and proud Hokie who will be missed immensely.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Ashlyn Carter from Columbia, South Carolina; parents, Danny and Barbara Carter of Abingdon, Virginia; brother, Patrick Carter of Abingdon, Virginia, along with other cherished relatives and lifelong friends.
