POUND, VA.                                       JANUARY 11, 2023

Gloria Jean Gilley, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 9, 2023 with her loving family by her side.
She spent years working as a bank teller for multiple banks in the area. She retired from BB&T in Wise Va.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G Gilley; son, Thomas E. Gilley; her parents, Walter and Minnie Jessee; 2 sisters, Bobbie Salyers and Nancy Pruitt; 6 brothers, Thurman, William, John, Charles, Paul and Emmitt Jessee.
Surviving are her son, Forrest Gilley and Erin Collins; 7 grandchildren, Jonathan, Shelbie, Emma, Audrey, Meredith, Olivia and Adelyn Gilley; one great-granddaughter, Wrenleigh; two sisters, Charlotte Kabler and Susie Correa; several nieces; nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A special thank you to Hospice and Palliative care of Norton, Virginia for their services and compassion they provided.
Funeral services for Gloria Jean Gilley will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA with Pastor Mark Stallard officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilley Cemetery in Pound, VA. Family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
