Ginger Lea Mullins, 48, passed away gracefully on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Norton Community Hospital after an aggressive battle against Multiple Myeloma. Her children were present at her bedside as she left to rejoice in Heaven with her mother, Sandra.

She was born to David and Sandra in Wise, VA. Ginger spent the majority of her life as a homemaker, devoting her time to her life partner Donald "Buford", and her children Veronica, Cassandra, and Nicholas "Nick", along with two loyal companions Albert and Gabby.

In 2017 Ginger pursued a degree in Business Management from Independence University. Ginger loved to be outdoors where she could soak in the sun, tend to her flowers, and feel the earth beneath her feet. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren Hunter and Eleanor who greatly inspired her to fight her battle against cancer. Ginger was truly outgoing, outspoken, and one of a kind. Her presence brought life into any room she walked into. She was beautiful not only on the outside but on the inside for she was caring, generous, and loving. Ginger has made an everlasting impression on all of our hearts, and words cannot begin to express how she will be forever missed.

Ginger is preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Owens; and special uncle, Perry "P.J." Fuller Jr.
She is survived by her father, David Large (wife Debbie); Her life partner, Donald "Buford" Mullins; Her three children, Veronica Lee, Cassandra Lawson (husband Benjamin), and Nicholas "Nick" Mullins; Five grandchildren, Nathaniel "Nate" Plaster, maternal granddaughter Miley Mullins, Hunter and Eleanor Lawson, and Malachi Howell; Her sisters, Cindy Phillips and Candy Bentoski; Brother, Johnny Lee Mullins (wife Allison) and many nieces and nephews; A very special "Aunt Mil" Mildred Deel; And several aunts who thought of Ginger as their own; Along with numerous cousins who were more like siblings to her.
