VALDESE, NC.                                               MAY 20, 2021

Gertrude "Trudy" Brock, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 17, 2021 after a brief history of declining health.

Trudy was a "mother" to many as all the neighborhood children were always welcome with a pot of soup beans on the stove and fresh cornbread. She was always supportive, loving, and more knowledgeable about life and family than she ever gave herself credit for.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A Brock; son, Jerry W. Brock; she was the last of her siblings, Emmett "TJ", Ralph, Don and Grace.

Surviving are her remaining children, Henry A. Brock Jr. and Brenda J. Brock; grandchildren, Carrie (Craig) and Rachel (Hugo); great-grandchildren, Eric (Anna), Jessica (Laura), Camellia (Tyler), Alec, Chase (Dee Dee), and Derrick (Gabby); great-great-grandchildren, Colton, Cooper, Angelo, and one on the way; and a host of other relatives and friends.
