Geraldine Marie (Tick) Evans, 60, passed away April 24, 2023, at her residence with her family by her side. Her time was spent with children, grandchildren, and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville, and Flora Plaster; her husband, Lloyd Evans Jr., four brothers, Walter, Orville, Rodney, and Joe Plaster; two sisters, Shirley McElyea, and Virginia Franklin; a grandson, Austin Blake Rainwater.

She is survived by four children, John (Kathy) Duty of Thomasville, N.C., Tammy Duty, Andrew Duty, and Candi (Kevin) Duty all of Coeburn, VA., sister, Sherry (Bobby) Sheppard of Coeburn, VA., eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 27, 2023, 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6 ^th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Funeral Service will be conducted 1 P.M. Friday, April 28, 2023, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Brandon White officiating.Burial will follow in the Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, VA.
