Gayle L. Middleton, 78, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Large Sr. and Clista Dotson Large, two brothers, Curtis Large Jr. and Jimmy Large.

She was a member of the Davis Chapel Church and former Speech Therapist for the Wise County School System, a Past President of the Coeburn Blue Knights Band Boosters.

Surviving is her husband, Raymond Middleton, two sons, Russell Middleton of Rogersville, Tn., and Jamie (Reaycca) Middleton of Clintwood, Virginia, a daughter-in-law, Kelly Middleton of Rogersville, Tn., a sister, Lynn Pauley of Coeburn, Va., six grandsons, Justin Middleton, Peyton Middleton, Dylan Bolling, Kenna Middleton, Taylor Dotson, Ethan Dotson, one great grandchild, Jaxson Dotson, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Va. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tom Slemp officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted 1 P.M. Thursday, January 2, 2025, in the Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, Va.  Family and friends will meet at 12:20 P.M. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
