Gaye Jessee Pendleton, 72, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 11, 2022 at her home.

She loved being outside and working puzzles and enjoyed spending time with her fur grandbabies.

Gaye is preceded in death by her parents, Vestus and Helen Jessee.

She is survived by her children, Michael Pendleton and his wife Stacy of Moseley, VA and Tina Hammonds and her husband Chris of Norton, VA; grandchildren, Christopher Hammonds, Haley Hammonds, Amanda Pendleton and Ashley Pendleton; brother, Billy Jessee of Wise, VA; sisters, Margaret Phelps of Norton, VA and Joyce Ely of Norton, VA; several nieces and nephews; a special caregiver, Abbie Christian and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Gaye Pendleton will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel Wise, VA with Pastor Robbie Fultz officiating. Burial will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap, VA. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 1:30 P.M. Friday at the Sturgill Funeral Home Wise, VA.
