Obituary

WISE, VA.                                         MARCH 26, 2023

Gage Dillan Lee Clark, 21, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, teammate, and friend passed away suddenly on March 23, 2023 in Wise, VA. He was a 2020 graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School in Tuscaloosa, Ala. He was a current resident of Cedar Bluff, VA. Gage was a sophomore at UVA Wise, where he was majoring in Sport Management and was a member of the football team. He enjoyed sports, playing guitar, and spending time with his friends and family.

Gage had an infectious smile that brought joy to everyone he knew. He was a Christian that truly loved the Lord. Gage was widely respected and loved by his coaches and teachers and was the ever-supportive teammate. Gage was a wonderful person and was a friend to all. His uplifting personality touched many lives and will be profoundly missed.

Gage is survived by his Parents: Josh and Jamie Clark of Cedar Bluff, VA; Matt and Tonya Lane of Coker, AL; Siblings: Lliam Lane, Islee Lane, Kaydence Clark and Kaycee Sanford, of Coker, AL. Alex and Abby Lane of Fairmount WV; Skyler Carmody and husband Dave of Abingdon, VA; Aunt MegAn Johnson and cousin Aira Bown of Irmo, SC; Maternal grandparents Marvin and Wanda Johnson of Irmo, SC; Steve and Linda Lane of Swords Creek, VA; Paternal grandparents Diana Johnson Roberts of Honaker, VA; Bobby and Diane Collins, and Bill Pate of Coeburn, VA. Great-grandmother Pat Sanders of Coeburn, VA. Proceeded in death by paternal grandfather Randy Clark of Hickory, NC and maternal and paternal great grandparents.

Visitation will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the UVA Wise David J. Prior Convocation Center Wise, VA with services starting at 5:30 pm. with Wayne Hubbard officiating.
