Freddie C. Hamm, ,91, died peacefully Sunday, August 7, 2022, at his home on Sandy Ridge with his family by his side.

He retired from the Sandusky Foundry December 1992; he was an avid Ham Radio Operator KQ4QL, and enjoyed turkey shoots, trading and collecting, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mozell (Nig) Bond Hamm, his parents, Robert and Viola Hamm, brothers, Robert Jr., Don, and Buck Hamm, sisters, Bernice Helbert, Polly Keen, Betty Jo Baker, and Lois Deel.

He is survived by five children, Rick (Peggi) Hamm of Bellevue, Ohio, Randy Hamm of St. Paul, VA., Rhonda (Dave) Matter of North Fort Myers, FL., Sharon (Rich) Miller of Sandusky, Ohio, and Karen (Randall) Meade of St. Paul, VA., brother, Harold Hamm of Antioch, TN., sisters, Judy (Darrell) Ritchie of Berlin Heights, Ohio, Alice Ealey of Pound, VA., and Annette (Wayne) Keith of Sandusky, Ohio, 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 12, 2022, 12 P.M. to 1 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6 ^th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Wayne Keith officiating. Burial will follow in the McClellan Cemetery Sandy Ridge Section St. Paul, VA.
