Frank Spencer Isaacs lost his earthly battle with coal dust but breathed his first clear breath in Heaven on January 31, 2024. Frank loved Jesus and belonged to the Grand Avenue Church of God of Prophecy for most of his life. He was known underground as "Handle Bars", and to friends he was known as "Abe". Frank never met a stranger. If he picked on you, he liked you, and if he didn't, watch out! He loved his children and grandchildren beyond measure. He was the kind of man who would do anything to help anybody.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Dora Isaacs, sisters Eva and Barbara, and first wife, Peggy Ann. He is survived by his current wife, Irene Lucas Isaacs, sons Richard (Sherry) Isaacs, Shannon (Harley) Isaacs, Anthony Isaacs, and daughter Vickie, a stepdaughter, Delrena (Jeff) Johnson; brothers Richard (Marcella) Isaacs, Noah (Donna) Isaacs, and sister Mary (Jack) Calhoun.

Frank had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly. Among those were special grandchildren Noell "Booger" Ward and Ricki Ann "George".

Funeral services for Frank Isaacs will be conducted at 5 P.M. on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Coeburn, VA with Rev. Charles "Jibber" Ward officiating. The visitation for the family will be on Sunday afternoon from 4 P.M. to 5 P.M. The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until the time of service. Graveside Services will be conducted 11 A.M. Monday, February 5, 2024, at Temple Hill Memorial Park Castlewood, Virginia.
