Frank G. (Bud) Yeary Jr., 89, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank G. Yeary Sr. and Helen Jenkins Yeary, his son, Robert Yeary, two sisters, Bernice Hilman, and Frances Huffman.

He was a retired employee of the Clinchfield Coal Company as a repairman for 35 years, a member of the UMWA, Coeburn Methodist Church, attended the Rural Missionary Baptist Church of Banner, avid Reader, Sportsman, Fisherman and loved animals.

Surviving is his wife of 64 years Janice Porter Yeary, a daughter, Karen (WD) Burke, daughter-in-law, Crystal (Pete) Lawson, two grandsons, Jordan (Ashley) Burke, and Wes (Morgan) Yeary, two great grandchildren, Jacob Burke and Addi Yeary, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 25, 2024, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Willie Ratliff officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted 11 A.M. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Lawson Cemetery Sandy Ridge Section St. Paul, Virginia with Military Rites conducted by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard and Local Military members. The family and friends will meet at 10:15 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
