BIG STONE GAP, VA JANUARY 22, 2022

Elizabeth Taylor Stanley, 67, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.
She was born in Fairfax, VA to George N. Faircloth and Mamie E. Faircloth.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and amazing grandmother. She loved life and loved the Lord and most of all loved her family with all her heart.
Elizabeth has been a caretaker all her life. She raised her family and would babysit kids on the side as well as cared for her parents as they aged and watched after her grandkids. She was truly a blessing to everyone she met and will be greatly missed by all. On Thursday afternoon little did we know that the Lord was going to call you home. In life we loved you dearly and in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone for part of us went with you. The day God called you home you left us with beautiful memories. Your Love is still our guide and though we cannot see you, you will always be by our side. Our Family chain is broken and nothing will ever be the same but as God calls one by one the chain will link again. Walk slowly Elizabeth so we can catch up.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mamie Faircloth; brother, George N. Faircloth Jr; and a daughter, Lisa M. Stanley.
Surviving are her husband, Gary L. Stanley; son, Ronnie Stanley (MaryAnn Watson); daughter, Karen Grose (Michael Grose Sr.); grandchildren, Michael Grose Jr. and Victoria Grose; sister, Linda Watts and husband Ricky and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Elizabeth Stanley will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA. Pastor Josh Tompkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Glencoe Cemetery Big Stone Gap, VA. The family will receive friends from 12 noon till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
