NORTON, VA                       FEBRUARY 17, 2022

Eleanor Moore, 92, passed away on February 16, 2022 after a lengthy illness.

Eleanor graduated from Wise High School as class Salutatorian in 1947. She was employed by Mine, Health and Safety Administration in Norton, VA and retired in 1988. Upon retirement, she enjoyed volunteer work for the Ladies Auxiliary Gift Shop at St. Mary's Hospital for over thirty years where she also served as chaplain. Eleanor was a longtime member of East Park Avenue Baptist Church where she served in bulletin preparation, as clerk, as Sunday school teacher and Women on Missions Director. She truly believed and lived her personal mission statement: "Do as much as you can, for as long as you can, for as many as you can."

Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Ollie 'Jane' Mullins; brother, Oliver "Pag" Mullins; sister-in-law, Beth Mullins; nephews, Shane Mullins and Oliver "Mullie" Mullins.

Suvivors include a daughter, Karen Moore; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Peggy Mullins; nephew, Randy Mullins; nieces, Gwen Gregg and Amanda Capps.

Per Eleanor's request a private service will be held for her family with the Rev. Lee Kidd officiating. Special music will be provided by Eleanor's favorite singer, Dennis Shuler of the Big Stone Gap First Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Park Avenue Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1123, Norton, VA 24273.
