Edna M. James, 93, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in the Norton Community Hospital Norton, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Wythe Moore Jr., Wayne (Betty) Moore, Mike Moore; daughters, Kay Moore, Darlene (Buddy) Nixon, Pauline Moore, grandsons, Randy Moore, and Gary Moore.

Surviving are daughters, Barbara (Raymond) Gibson, Linda (Willie) Ratliff, Karen Meade, Patricia James; a sister, Pauline Owens; grandsons, Willie(Brandy) Ratliff III, Tyler Ratliff, Travis (Crystal) Gibson, Jordan Barker, Robbie Barker, granddaughters, Angie (Derek) Hampton, Sherry Moore, Jennifer (Randall) Meade, Brandy Campbell and her fiancé Jason Gillenwater, Stephanie Barker and her significant other, Hunter Neece, and a very special granddaughter, Lindsey Dixon and her husband, Elijah Dixon, Edna's caregiver for over 10 years; several nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, her beloved cat, Sandy, and honorary son-in-law, John Barker.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 27, 2022, 12 P.M. to 1 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6 ^th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with pastor Willie Ratliff officiating. Entombment will follow in the Temple Hill Memorial Park Castlewood, VA.
