Edith Lucille Griffith 102 went home to her Lord and Savior, Friday January 17, 2025.

She was preceded. In death by her husband William G. Griffith, father Lester Atwood, Mother Effie May Atwood, brother Joseph
B. Atwood, Sr. and sister, Myra Ellen Puckett.

She is survived by her daughters, Patty Ann Hall (Sammy) Coeburn VA, Betty Jean Matthews (Clyde) Knoxville, TN. Grandchildren, Jody Hall (Candi), Nikki Hall, Barry Hall, Beth Palmer (Bobby), Missy Newman (Steve). Great Grandchildren Zachary Hall, Justin Hall (Abby), Hunter Hall (Brittney), Drayden Hall, Ryder Hall, Jaxon Hall, Jacob Palmer, Katie Palmer, Bailey Newman, Morgan Newman, Cassie Newman. Great Great grandchildren Evalyn Rose Hall, Turner Ivy (Tivy) Hall, Hayden Asher Hall.

She was a member of Mary's Chapel Church.

She worked as an airplane riveter (Rosie the Riveter) during WWII in Michigan. She belonged to the Coeburn Rebekah Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Mary's Chapel Church P.O. Box 989 Coeburn, VA 24230.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 24, 2025, 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Va. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Sammy Hall and Pastor Marty Puckett officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, Virginia.
