Eddie Tickles, 75, after a hard-fought battle, went home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2025, at his home.  He was a member of the Clear Branch Community Church in Bristol, VA.  Eddie was a coal miner who loved the Lord and loved to fish.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Tickles; his parents, James and Bonnie Tickles; and his sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and David Hall.

Surviving is his son, Timothy (Kelly) Tickles; granddaughter, Katelyn (Daniel) Rose; great-grandson, Carter Rose; stepsons, JR (Jen) Kilgore and George Adkins; step daughters, Crystal (Jack) Hensley and DeDe (Troy) Brown; step-grandchildren, Tyler Meade, Rece Hunsaker, Sydney Brooks, Conner Kilgore, and Sophie Kilgore; step great-grandchildren, Raylan and Rinley Meade; two brothers, Gary (Trula) Tickles and Lary (Sue) Tickles; two sisters, Debbie Tickles (Julio Sebastian) and Robin (Chris) Rice; several nieces and nephews—a special thank you to Calvin Lester and Eddie's church family.

The funeral services will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025, 11 A.M. at Temple Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum in Castlewood, VA with Calvin Lester officiating.
