Earl M. "Mackie" Vanover, 63, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026 at his home.

He attended Bethel Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, enjoyed reading the bible, fishing, music, classic rock, Star Trek and bird watching. He was an employee of PayLess (IGA) for 20 plus years and was a former employee of Palmer's Construction and W&L Construction.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Vanover.

Surviving are his loving wife, Pamela Jane Vanover; nine children, Todd Vanover of Wise, Anthony Vanover of Wise, Melinda Miller of Coeburn, Joey Grizzle of Wise, Jody Grizzle of Wise, Sara Clark of Wise, Elisabeth Vanover of the home, Dylan Grizzle of the home, and Everleigh Grizzle of the home; sixteen grandchildren; mother and father-in-law, Patti and Howard Sloan; siblings, Rita Blanton, Brenda "Jannie" Hicks, Shannon Vanover, Jackie Vanover, and Jeannie Williams; special friend, Jonathan Mullins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will be planning a Celebration of Life at a later date.
