Earl Soloman Lee, 93, went to be with the Lord on December 9, 2023, while at his home on Brushy Ridge in Nora. By his bedside were all his children, and his sister, Gay Deel and her family. Many of his grandchildren were also there throughout the day.

Earl held many titles throughout his life including husband, preacher, minister, deacon, boss, former logger, miner, technician, and most importantly daddy and papaw.

Earl touched many people during his life. He inspired many and led many more to a life of fellowship and worship. Earl provided leadership, and worship. Earl provided leadership and guidance to all who knew him.

Entering into heaven before him was his loving wife, Margaret B. Lee, his parents, Bertie, and Eliza Lee, 4 great great grandchildren, and one special son, Bill Nelson.

He leaves behind his children, Nancy (Eldon) Turner, Jimmy (Margaret) Lee, Doris (Edward) Mayberry, Randall (Norma) Lee, Debra Chafin, Danny (Sandy) Lee, Sue (Willie) Farmer, Ruth (Ronnie) Charles, Matthew (Pam) Lee, Crystal (Tim) McCoy, special children, Tommy (Ruth) Stapleton, and Merna Nelson; 135 grandchildren, special friends, Ralph McCoy, Mike Stidham, P&P Farm Machinery, Freddie Boyd.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Light House Freewill Baptist Church Brushy Ridge after 5 P.M. Funeral Service will be held 12 P.M. Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the church with Pastor Freddie Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Matthew Lee Cemetery Nora, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Ricky Turner, Nicholas Charles, Spencer Lee, Anthony Lee, Gary Wayne Chaffin, and Daniel Farmer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Conner McCoy, Jacob O'Quin, Joey Farmer, Coleton Rasnick, Clay Ward, Sidney Farmer, Devon Charles, and Mason Charles, Richie Salyer, Drake Kiser.
