Dorothy Marie (Probst) Acton, 100, passed away Tuesday morning, March 1, 2002, at 6 A.M. in the Community Hospice Care Center Ashland, Kentucky. Dorothy was born in Pokagon, Michigan to Clyde O. Probst, and Etta M. (Curtis) Probst. She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Veryl Pegels, Harold Probst, Albert Probst, Donna Chapman and her husband, Kenneth Ray Acton.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Carol Acton of Springfield, Missouri, and a son, Kenny Raymond Acton of Coeburn, Virginia; 8 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren; brother, Marvin D. Probst of Dowagiac, Michigan, sister, Ida Mary Corbitt of Cassopolis, Michigan.

Dorothy and Kenneth were united in marriage on July 30, 1940, in South Bend, Indiana. She loved to color in her coloring books, crochet and watch the old Westerns on television. She also enjoyed being around all her great grandchildren. She will be missed by all her family and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 5, 2022, 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6 ^th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Steve Baker officiating. Burial will be held March 10, 2022, 2 P.M. Thursday in the Hazelwood Cemetery Springfield, Missouri with Greenlawn Funeral Home South handling those services.
