Doris June Sands, 88, passed away at her daughter and son-in-law's home in Wise on Sunday, May 21st.

She was a faithful servant of the Lord and member of Mary's Chapel Church in Coeburn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Sands; son, Dennis Sands; grandson, Bradley Elkins; mother, Annette Kennedy; father, Holland Kennedy; two sisters, Helen Kilgore, and Margaret Medlock.

She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Ewing, and husband Anthony; grandson, Jake Elkins, and wife Bree; granddaughter Tiffany McCord and husband Jrock; brother, John H. Kennedy, and wife Kathy; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be conducted 2 P.M. Friday, May 26, 2023, at the Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, Virginia with Pastor Marty Puckett officiating.
