Donald Ray Clisso, 85, entered into his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 after a long battle with illness.

Don was born to Pete and Allie Clisso in Norton, Virginia. He had a love for cars, home cooked meals and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Glamorgan Chapel and had a deep love for his church family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Allie Clisso; son, Rory Clisso; brothers, Frank, Willie, Hobart, Charles, Robert, Clyde, Millard and Raymond Clisso; sisters, Louise Clisso, Josie Crabtree, Kathleen Roberts, Jean Priode, Faye Frazier and Patricia Ann Clisso.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Clisso; daughters, Brenda Clisso and Deborah Clisso; seven step-children; grandson, Scott Lotterman; many step grandchildren; step great-grandchildren; sisters, Connie Day and Sharon Canales; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Don Clisso will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Glamorgan Chapel 183 Southmark Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293 with Pastor Greg Sergent and Rev. Jeff Sams officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. at the Church on Friday. Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap, VA. Burial will follow. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 A.M. at Sturgill Funeral Home Wise, VA to go to the cemetery in procession.
