COEBURN, VA.                                     OCTOBER 7, 2021

Derick Lane Lawson, 24, of Coeburn, VA passed away October 5, 2021. He was a 2017 graduate of Ridgeview High School. He was an employee of Hill Construction where he operated an excavator.

Derick is preceded in death by his grandmother, Darlene Lawson and grandfather, Donnie Stanley.

Surviving are his father, Timothy Lawson; mother, Linda Stanley Lawson; sister, Jaycee Lawson; brothers, Dillen Lawson, Zachery Keen and Peyton Couch; fiancé, Nikita Harvey; Children, Emmit Wyatt Lawson and Paris Jade Lawson; grandfather, Doc Lawson; grandmother, Debra Stanley.

Funeral services for Derick Lawson will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel Wise, VA with Rev. Eddie Rose and Rev. Tom Slemp officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. Friday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 9, 2021 in the Nash Family Cemetery.  Family and Friends will meet at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the Funeral Home to go to the cemetery in procession.
