Deborah Luree Larkey, 75, from Abingdon, VA passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 5, 2026 surrounded by family and friends.

She was a member of Byars-Cobb Memorial United Methodist Church in Glade Spring, VA.

Deborah was born in Alexandria, Va.

Deborah was a wife, Mother, Nana, Aunt and friend. She carried many titles. Whenever she took on a task, she put her whole heart into it. She could find a few ingredients in the cupboard and make a 5-star meal in no time. She loved shopping, gardening, canning and working in her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris Jr. and Patricia Lawson; her brother, Garry Lawson; and an infant brother, Steven Lawson.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 10 years, Stuart Larkey and his family: Sons, Eric Larkey and wife Tammy, Brian Larkey and wife Rachel; grandchildren Adam Larkey and wife Katie, Sarah Grace Larkey, Quintin Larkey and Duncan Larkey; and a great grandchild Adalee Larkey.

Deborah is also survived by Frank Spencer Green and their children, Frank Allen Green and Michell Luree Kennedy and husband Red Kennedy; along with sister, Terry Ann Mullins and husband Ricky; brothers, Christopher Lawson III and wife Robin, Jimmy Lawson and wife Karen, Bruce Lawson Chappell and wife Leslie; grandchildren, Savannah Wiles, Cameron Wiles and Danielle Boardwine; great-grandchildren, Serenity Green and Atlas Gilliam; Also Tom Greene and wife Jean, G.T. Greene and wife Cindy, Edith Greene Dotson; and a host of nieces & nephews.

All services will be private. Pallbearers are Nathan Lawson, Cameron Wiles, Braxton Bolling, Ricky Mullins Jr., Christopher Lawson IV and James Boardwine.

The family would like to say a very special "thank you for all you did for Debra" to the following; Everyone at Caris Healthcare for providing Hospice care, Dr. Handy MD and staff of Abingdon, VA, and the entire ALS Team at Duke University.
